Comedian David Cross eluded to some of the same facts after 9/11 on his CD Shut You F'ing Baby...basically that there was some flag manufacturer looking to make a profit on patriotism. He also including the sad irony that American flags are made in China. Going a step further he said they're made by Chinese dissident prison labor, which I'm sure is not verifiable - but it makes for good satire.

Obligatory Dead comment - I took someone's advice and listened to 5/5/91 as a change of pace. Since all but one of my shows was a Vince show, I'm don't avoid a Vince show every once in a while. That show was definitely a better example of that band at that point. Good stuff.
